About the Archive

I’ve resisted posting my work online because I didn’t want to “curate” myself. So that’s what I’ve done here — no curating. I’ve posted all the work that I have documented according to the year it was made. The good, the bad, and the embarrassing. So this is really an archive. It begins in 1986, which is the first year, after graduating from art school in 1985, that I produced my own work without external input from teachers and the like. I hope this archive will answer the two most frequently asked questions I get: “What do you paint?” and “How long did it take you to paint that?” As for the latter, so far, 34 years.
